The contemporary art center Amant wanted to turn a vacant 12,500-square-foot lot into an outdoor event space to support its cultural program, extending the art gallery into the open air. A steel fence was designed to give this lot an identity from the street in the absence of a building. Specially chosen Selux exterior light fixtures illuminate the site at night while avoiding light pollution through the use of precise optics.

The steel plate fence adds a sense of intrigue and creative expression to the otherwise industrial street of Ten Eyck. Its design, characterized by arrangements of lines that are in turns geometric and painterly, casts bold, graphic shadows on the sidewalk, catching the attention of passersby.
